It works too and even fixed a problem that the demo patch created with my sound. :)

    Go Ryan!

Works for me! Some bugs remain, but they're being tracked.

PC users don't have to have the DVD inserted anymore. I hope we catch up soon! It's a real pain for portable gaming--not to mention a battery drain.

    Questions
which patch is this? which version?
why is it not listed at unrealtournament.com under downloads?
Is this the same or different than the quietly-released 3229 beta that has been out for OS X for weeks from 0day and #icculus-org?

I see that MGF has a 3229, is that the beta or an official release?

Why is the version number not equivalent to the windows/linux 3236 release?

If it's the same as the 3229 beta, then this isn't really new news other than macsoft's stamp of approval, but in that case why is it not listed at epic's site?
    _______________

If it's the same as the 3229 patch of june 9, then
    1) community mods menu is disabled
    2) -mod=XXXX launch commandline still does not parse ut2k4mod.ini correctly for the full mod launch commandline flags, if they are specified.
    3) open AL is still buggy (stereo, vehicle sounds, etc.)

Since I talk with the news submitter of this item, I'll go jump on him and ask =)

    3229

I assume it's the same is this one I got--maybe not though:

    http://www.macgamefiles.com/detail.php?item=18155

That appears to be an OFFICIAL patch, number 3229. And it only just came out--newer then 6/9. I notice a new water-splash effect and new standard ICTF gametype (but why?) for instance.

I haven't tried the mods menu, but clearly some bugs do remain--not that there was much seriously wrong with the game out of the box! Support has been great so far, but I look forward to some rough edges being cleaned up. Vehicles still don't change pitch on slopes :( And the headlight projections and rain effects are still unpredictable.

PS, thanks for the Tool pack!
