either someone's about to get fired (in which case i ask "why the **** do they still have 512mb?" and "what the ****? there are barely any pci-e x1 expansion cards FOR PC and none for mac! why no pci card slots?" and say "w00t! awesome gpu especially if it's the gt version!" and also ask "is this gonna be like the pm g4's where the top-end model doesnt have the highest clock speed but has the most cores?")
    or
    someone's bs'ing.
i'd hope for the former--it sounds like a kickass machine!

is it a redesign for both machines? IE do they look different or are just the internals changed?

Is that the top of the line???

2x2 = 4 or just the single dual core.

    Just curious:
when someone gets fired from Apple, does apple legal go after them for breaching the NDA?

    Are they just fired?
Does apple take away their Macs and give them crappy Dells?

    What happens?

They take away the shiny macs and give them dells, yes. But in all seriousness, my job security remains in tact.

Well, shoot. Now you got me thinkin. They have 16 slots from what I understand. That doesn't make sense to me, but that is what I have seen. I suppose, if one wanted to think like a crazy person..... 32 GB.... hmmm

    Though i seriously doubt it.

    We all wish ;)

However the model that I have seen wasn't labeled as far as "Fast Faster Fastest," if you know what I mean. So, we will see what is at the top :)

But I did forget to mention that the revisions on the macs will be available immediately following the keynote for purchase at many resellers across the nation, and at select Apple Stores.

No offense, but anyone could've made that up. As everyone is believing you, and at the risk of embarrasment caused by me missing some obvious proof that you are legit, I will believe you :D
    Well tomorrow we will see.

Is this going to be one of those phantom upgrades at first, like with the Mac mini's? At first they "forget" to change the packaging on the last batch of single core PowerMacs, with repackaged models shipping from the factor late Wednesday afternoon.

I'm just curious how they got dual-core PowerMacs to "many resellers" and "select Apple Stores" without so much as a single fuzzy, grainy "photo in an elevator" shot of the new boxes showing up online. :p

I believe him. There have been reports of black tarp covering the Macs in the Apple Stores... and those specs seem very accurate.

Except for the bit about PCIe slots and no more PCI-X.
