Hello all!

I am about to purchase a new PowerBook through a special program at work. It is an interest free loan that I was finally approved for today. Now, I need to take possession of the laptop with 30 days so that I may "close" the loan in the allotted time.

My questions are: In your opinion, what are the chances of the PowerBook line being updated in the next two weeks? And, what do you think the update will bring to the line?

Thanks for your input.

By the way, I already know the config that I am going to get:

Top End 15"
512MB RAM (1 SO-DIMM) will get another 512 from Crucial
80GB 5400RPM HD
SuperDrive
Airport Extreme
Bluetooth
Backlit Keyboard
AppleCare

So I just want to know about possible updates within the hardware.

Unfortunately, I have to have the product in hand with an invoice to finalize the loan. I decided that the current model already meets my needs, so I just ordered it. I was hoping for a newer superdrive though.

If by some micracle they update next week, they'll ship you the new one.

It's been dead quiet on the hardware front though so far, so don't get your hopes up. The current line-up are nice machines anyway.
