    Hey all.
I finally got an Airport Extreme card for my PM G5 and popped that sucker in.
The internet is working fine, so I decided to download the newest set up updates for Tiger.
The trouble is, when I try to install the patch I downloaded, it says it can't install to my HD because it needs 128 MB to install. I know I have 130 GB open (I checked and rechecked, and seriously, I mean, I just got the thing, it's common sense that I still have the majority of my HD open), but I can't figure out why it won't let me install. Does this mean I already have the most recent version of Tiger? Do new Macs come with the updates on the disk? Am I doing something wrong?
Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

Did you use Software Update from the Apple menu or did you manually download the updates and try to run them. Either way, it shouldn't come up with a disk space warning, but maybe try it through Software Update instead, assuming you didn't already. :)

Ah, I didn't know there was something called 'Software Update.' I should have assumed there was, though, because something like that makes sense. I'll find it and give it a shot. Thanks!

I'll help you find it. Click on the Apple in the upper-right hand corner and select "Software Update...".

Also if you click on "About this Mac" it will tell you the current version of the OS that you are running. Tiger is now at 10.4.2.
