Hello!

Any thoughts will be appreciated on this puzzling thing which just happened:

Some days ago, USB sticks and the sd card stopped appearing in the finder.

I have a mid-2011 Macbook air.
OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks.
With a VMWare Fusion Professional 5.0.3 installated.

The USB sticks and the sd card are formatted in FAT32.

They appeared just fine in the finder until a couple of days ago (when not connected to VMWare).
Now, they appear in Windows ok when connected to VMWare.

Still, when disconnected from VMWare, they do not show in the MacOS finder,
even if VMWare is stopped and the computer rebooted without.

When I physically unplug the sticks, I still get the error message "Disk not ejected properly" from MacOS.

The iphone connects to iTunes via USB just fine.

I have an older MacBook with MacOS 10.7.5.
There, the sticks continue to be visible just as they used to be.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Alternately, in any Finder window right click the window title and select the computer name at the bottom of the popup list. This should display everything connected or mounted.
