    Quick question.

I'd like to put a hard drive from an old G4 iMac into an even older Digital Audio G4 Power Mac. I'd like to know if this is possible.

The hard drive interface on the iMac is ATA/100, while the Power Mac uses ATA/66.

It should work without a problem. You probably don't even have to reinstall the OS.

Thanks guys... Probably needn't have bothered posting this, I would've tried it out anyway.

All PATA drives work on all PATA busses. Identical connector. Different speeds.

    As expected it works fine!

    30GB 4,200 rpm to 80GB 7,200 rpm - Xbench disk scores are 70% higher.

Nice jump, shame I didn't work this earlier when I actually used the old G4.
