I have a set up wired speakers currently plugged up through the headphone jack of my macbook.

I want to add a wireless speaker to the other side of the room. From my understanding, it is not possible to push bluetooth audio and wired audio at the same time.

Using AirPlay, I am wondering if I can push audio via WiFi to the AirPlay speaker, while also playing audio via the wired connection to my other speakers simultaneously, anyone know if this is possible?

Yes, this is possible. I have a set up with my MacBook Pro at my desk connected to wired speakers, and an AirPort Express in the living room connected to my home theater speakers. I can play to both sets of speakers at once using AirPlay in iTunes.
