I'm going to be buying a Spanish macbook soon but will be going on holiday to Australia later in the year and will be taking the macbook with me. Someone mentioned that I might have a problem charging it over there cause of different voltage. Does anyone know if this is right? If it is true, what do I need to get so I can use my macbook there?

Nah, you'll be fine. The power adapter for the MacBook (and all portable Macs) is universal so it can cope with the 110V common in the US/Canada/Japan and the 240V common in Europe/Australia etc. All you'll need is a cheap Euro -> Aussie plug adapter that you can get at the airport or any one of a bajillion electronic stores.
