Hey all,

Was wondering if it would be possible to connect a laptop to the DVI port on the intel imac and convert my imac into an external monitor.

I ask because I would love to buy a 20 inch intel imac and use it as an external monitor for my 12" thinkpad when i get home (instead of looking at the IBM's small screen).

I realize I can buy a seperate LCD but that's just extra money :)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Canada, eh?
Not possible.

DVI ports are one-way (output) devices.

Closest you can do is use VNC or some other remote desktop program to remotely see the laptop screen on your iMac.
