When I unzipped the exe file and imported it into my UT2004 folder, I accidentally overwrited the existing files and my game no longer works. I have the CD, but my cd key is at home (i'm at college). I was wondering if there is any way I can find my cd-key within the game files? Is there an equivelent to the 'registry' folder in windows in OS X?

I am not really sure on that as i use a PC for my gaming needs. hmm perhaps you can call home and ask someone there to give you the cd key?

that's what I did. I was installing the update to Alien Swarm when I made that mistake, so this time I made sure not to do that same mistake...

(wish they put the CD key in the CD case instead of the manual)

I'll also mention that a DMG version of the Editor's choice Bonus pack is available in the Downloads section at http://www.macfpsgames.com (Free registration required). Not to mention you should have great DL speeds (took me 4 minutes to DL it).

No stuffit or unzipping necessary ;)

    How's the performance?

I'm hearing problems for some people on IMG's Forums.

I find it to be a little choppy where I never had problems before. Plus some of the sounds don't seem to be working correctly. But the new maps are dope, as well as the new vehicles. Especially the Cicada.

    No problems here.

I got the pack from the PlanetUnreal link for Mac and Linux upgrades.

And one more mirror from icculus.org just in case...

The above link includes some other news as well. And a demo of UT2K4 that includes what I believe is the ECE content. Good for those of us that are too cheap or want to see the ECE content if it isn't going to be playable at all. :p

    Try this:
    Locate your UT2004 program.

Control/Right Click it, show package contents.

You'll see a lot of folders, open system

Look for a file called 'cdkey' open it.

Your cd-key should be visible in all its glory!
