I was wondering if my Newton Messagepad 130 with Keyboard, extra battery, charger in good condition had any real value. Ebay has a range of prices, can you help me out?

I doubt you could get any more than about $50 for the lot. However, if you put together a great eBay ad, you never know. I've seen Macs and other stuff go for way more than usual simply due to a detailed write-up singing the praises of the item. I got a 130 a few months ago for around $20-30 -- I can't remember. it didn't have any extras though.

I don't know that it's really worth selling then, but thanks for the appraisal.

Yes, that's what I find about a lot of "vintage" Apple stuff. That's why it's getting harder and harder to find them on eBay. I pick up a lot of items at that magic point where the item price is equivalent to the shipping price.

In Japan you'd get anywhere from $30~$100 for an MP130. With all the extras, closer to $100 maybe. I've seen a fully-loaded MP2100 with modem, keyboard & network card, w/box & manuals go for around $700- I'm not kidding.

Japan is a great place to sell old Apple hardware, you'll get great prices. I think the main reason is because Apple hardware- especially older hardware- is getting rare. I got an Apple Portable off an auction for around $400, there's only like 100 or something in Japan. I also got a TAM off an auction- the seller had everything but the FM tuner. There are even fewer TAMs in Japan than portables (forget trying to find a LISA, you'll have to wait until someone dies first.)
I've noticed that in Japan the sellers (especially Apple collectors) tend to keep every last piece that came with their Macs. Of course, they charge a price for it :)

Wow, that's a heck of a deal. Usually, it's just a battery problem -- otherwise, it probably works fine. I got mine for about $40 and I thought that was a deal.

Did you read the part in my post where it says JAPAN?

Mine works, comes w/battery, power supply, case, etc. Big difference. They are REALLY hard to find now, almost non-existent, like a good TAM. Still looking for a LISA....
