Hi,

I have a Power Mac G4 (blue/white) with 256MB of SDRAM, 8 Gg HD and a 466MHz processor. What is a good selling price for this?

Thanks,

Mary

Search Ebay to see what similar computers are going for.

One tip: Get yoru terminology straight. Blue & White usually refers to the G3 PowerMacs. The only G4 to run at 466 was the Digital Audio model. However, the 8GB drive makes me think that maybe you actually do have a Blue & White G3. What does it say under "About This Mac?"

Sorry, it isn't actually my Mac and I am not that familiar with Macs (as you have noticed). The machine ID says 406. The model name is Power Mac G4. Processor info is PowerPC G4. Machine speed is 466 MHz.

Thanks,
Mary

On CPUSED.com (Canadian $$ prices)

A 450 Mhz CPU,
266 meg memory
10 Gig HD
DVD Rom
Zip Drive

is going for $699. That's about $530 US if that helps.

I own one that looks exactly like that. Mine is a dual 450 with 1.25 GB RAM. Has a Zip 100 and a Adaptic SCSI Card. Its for a 2 GB Jaz Drive. Also a 30 GB HD.

I guess that my value with be close to that mentioned by fartheststar of $530. I also have an external Lacie CD RW drive.
