Just heard about the resignation of Chavez in Venezuela. Now theres and Interim gov't. lead by a big business man. MyMemory- whats goin on w/ it hopefully no one u know got hurt in those riots. Sorry if this just seems like another nosey American comment. Have to look out for our fellow Mac Users.

It's all about Oil.
Chavez was looking at handing the Oil interests over to some of HIS cronies and the existing Oil honcho's weren't going to let that happen.

Now, according to cnn, the US says Chavez provoked the crisis and the army has named a new leader, a business man. Its nice to see the military didn't just step in. Maybe we'll hear from mymemmory in the morning.

1st. I just came back to my house. An hour ago I was in a restaurant with a group of people of the "intelligence" group that I'm part of and we receive several phone call telling that there are people from the getos that want the ex-president back and there is a big shutting down town. That was at 10pm when we got the message. Down town is at the west, we where at the east of the city 10 minutes away (the distance from Harlem to Soho, a bit more). I do don't know anything else. Looks like we are gonna have some more bodys tomorrow.
About the oil. Our ex president was trying to increase the price of the oil worldwide and he had some influence on it, this was done by decreasing the production. The down side was that for a short period of time this startegy works but he was using it to show the people that he had so much influence and that the oil never was not at such high prices with the old goverments. The true was that we were selling the minimun ammount necesary to have the plants working. Many oil plants were closed and only the main ones were working at the lowest levels, that means that many towns that based their comerce on the industry were broke. But he never said that.
On the other hand, there was an agreement with Cuba to sell them oil at the 10% of interest payable from 20 years in 5 years. That agreement include perocesed oil and their products placed there. For your information, when we sell oil to the US, we sell only oil at the price from our port without the shipping, not gasoline, kerosene, etc. placed in their ports. So, Cuba was receiving oil+gasoline+kerosene+etc, in their ports and the trade was under that ammount only, we didn't charge for the procesing or the transportation, that was for free.
To make it easy to understand. Imagine that Apple sell the computers in parts for $2000, you got your computer, you pay the shipping and you build it. Well, imagine that Apple sell the same computer to Cuba at the same price but Apple build the computer for the cubans (for Filed Castro I mean) and include the shipping in the price, beside Apple will charge the price of the computer in 5 years at 10% of the cost per year.
Any other country have to send their ships and we give them the oil, with Cube we put the ships and the peocessed oil, gast, etc. with all the facilities.
I have to tell you that there is an 80% of the population with and income of less of 8$ a months. They eat flower with sugar once a day while we are giving oil for free to Cuba. But that people love to live from fantacys, they do not want any one to tell them to work.
Cuba, was selling the exedent of oil to the other countries too, but that is about nothing. Today our "FBI" discovered documents where Chavez was giving money to the colombian guerrilla and was preparing a paralel army.
Tonight at the restaurant we came to the conclution that the snipers were Cuban, a friend of mine saw 3 people died around him in less than 20 secunds, one of them a girl that was drinking water. He said that the snipers where located at 800 feets at list and they where pointing to the head only.
What is having us so upset is that the army didn't protect us. Lats night they said that they didn't know that Chavez was giving harms to the population... EVERY BODY KNEW THAT 2 YEARS AGO!!! they just went to stop Chavez at 9pm after several people die.
Today a group of people took over the Cuban embassy, I wasn't there because I got very tired from yesterday. But the guys at the restaurant told me that they trashed all the cars with diplomatic ID and they were trowing parts over the fence, now I understand why I saw the back seat of a car on the front yard. That people still there without power, phone and because looks like there are 2 people from the gouverment inside.
By the way, the two cuban planes at the international airport have been shut, for some strange reason they parked in the presidential angar.
Well, the atmosphere here is a tense calm, we are not sure about many things, we trust no one now (gov, army) and we have our guns prepared because no one is gonna kill us as easy as they did the 11th, our april 11th.

Today is saturday, I can't explain how sick I am with all this tension, I feel my nerves are going to explote.
This morning I was about to go to the club with my girlfriend to laid beside the pool and he got more news of people supporting the president again. The ex-vice president came out with one part of the military forces, I'm glad we was in other city 2 hours from here.
The ex-first lady called CNN in spanis to said that the ex-president didn't quit. Let me remind you that CNN owner is socialist by the way.
So, after a few hours of nightmares the new provisional president came on tv to tell us that Hugo Chavez is going to leave Venezuela (we all know he is going to Cuba).
So, another saturday.
Just imagine that a month after the sep 11th you got Osama Bin Laden and because of some negotiation you let him go.
All I can do under thsi situations is stay very but very inform, stay at my house with my family and headly arm.
I'm so tire of this, it is just like the day after sep 11th. I just want to go to work in peace again.
Today I was afraid that the military release Hugo Chavez again, they got toons of money from him during his administration. I can bet that that scenario was very close today and that people didn't do it just because we were about a million people walking yesterday and our "pentagon" is in the middle of the city. I have to inform you that Caracas is a 6million people city and is like NY, Washington, Miami and L.A. all in one. So, you better are with the mayority here.
There is not peace without trauma and sacrify, but is worth it.

I know, you are my mac-best-friends.Right now I'm watching tv and writting you, is the best wat to let everything flow.
Have something in mind, if you are not there it doesn't mean is not happening. That is why I'm always pointing about a better undertanding of what is going on in other peoples mind, even the black people in the US or the palestinians.
That is why the sep 11th was such surprice for you, because that is the ammount of hate out side of the US, but the problem is not that, is that any humman bean can feel hate, that is not limited by the frontiers, so that is why there should not be any fight in your presence.
When I was in the riot I had one of those portsble speakers and I walk in between the aremy and the opositiors (my group), and I yell to wahit a secund... for 10 secunds my group stoped... but the army launched another strike of tear gass, so I said "I can't do anything here" and ran. But in other riots it worked. We have to change the dinamic of a the riots, people think that to protest is to trow rocks, etc. that will happen if you are "programed" to do that. Last year we mad several walks against the gouverment and at the fron there was my group of people talking with the opositors (the gouverment group) to calm them and it works just fine, a different dinamic. But this time was too many people involved.
Guys, this things are real, just keep in mind that there is not a world out there, you live in the same world as everybody else. Just understand others peoples reason and make them understand yours "negotiate" for a winning=winning mutual goal.

mymemory: I was thinking, do you have/have access to a video camera? If you do you should get this stuff on tape, very important historical stuff on tape is a good thing. this way you can show it to people who dont believe. maybe you could get it on tv here in the US, though I doubt it.
