damn it all woke up this morning turned on my powerbook, three minutes after starting a dvd a vertical row of blue pixels decided to turn up on my screen, they're about an inch and a half in from the right hand side of my 12"'s screen. there was nothing on it and no reason for this to happen and guess who's warranty ran out only two weeks ago...??

call up Apple and complain. I had the exact same thing and they replaced my screen for free, though I had bought it fairly recently. Maybe you can still get them too. If not, mine were way more visable against dark colors than light ones, maybe find a nice light background. I know that's not the best, sorry, but it's something.

If they just popped up suddenly, perhaps you can get them to disappear suddenly.

Right (control) click that and save it. Open it in Quicktime and set it on loop. Resize it and place it in the dead pixel area. Let it play all night long making sure that your screen does not dim or go to sleep (or a screen saver).

It's worked for me and many others on here. Give it a try!
