I want to hook a mini up to a TV and have a question regarding which is the best way to connect the two.

Should I use the standard VGA out or use the DVI out which will subsequently convert to VGA since the TV has VGA in.

The mini is being hooked up to a 50" plasma.

Any thoughts on which connection to use?

Thanks so much.

Why don't you just try both and see which one you think is best? I don't think there will be any difference, as the VGA is the poorer quality of the two standards (because it's analogue) and you will have conversion whatever lead you use.

Simple. The mini only has a DVI port. It ships with an adaptor for standard 15 pin VGA. So you will use DVI and convert it to VGA :)

Wait...

The plasma only has VGA in? That's terrible.
But the connection won't really matter, either the signal will be converted at the computer (VGA-VGA) or at the TV (DVI-VGA).
