Video Editing

    Hey all,

    Does anyone know of a free video editing program for tiger?

    I have imovie '05 but i would like to try somethign a little diffrent!

    Video editing programs are complex pieces of software, so it's doubtful you'll find many free apps that are actually useful.

    I suppose the best is Final Cut Express, but it's not free. You can edit videos with Quicktime Player Pro, but highly not recommended. ;)

    The only thing I don't like about Free DV is that it isn't very easy to use. I've used Avid Xpress before, so it wasn't too difficult for me to pick up, but I would recommend using Final Cut Express instead...

    let me reprase though.

    anything out there that will run on my computer?specs are in the sig.
    i have installed avid dv just now, but when i went to launch it it bounces a few times then quits. i would love to use final cut express but i dont think it would run either! :confused:

    FC Xpress requires a 500 MHz G4. Ouch! Too bad you can't get your hands on FCP 1.0/2.0. That thing screamed on our old 400 MHz machines!

    ill look at some of those,
    but like i said i have Imovie '05
    i just wanted to try something different, does anyone know of a way to get imovie to import other formats? right now it only imports dv (i think thats the files name)

    is there a plugin or something i can use for importing mov's or something?

    nevermind it seems imovie will imort MOV's

    one more question for you guys,
    is there a free program out there that will convert WMV to anything else preferably mov.

    well again i say nevermind!

    imovie isnt importing the mov file,

    i have flip4mac installed, and imovie trys to import my wmv files but its going to take 30 min for the clip im trying so ill DL another clip and see!
