Is there a video that shows how to change the RAM on the Al iMac?
Here you go.
EDIT: You'll need to click the "Memory" tab near the bottom of the page.
THANK YOU!!!! been looking for something like this, do you recommend OWC, or crucial? crucial seems more professional and reliable, but OWC is cheaper, im thinking about going with crucial
I like Crucial and just bought some RAM from them for a couple of PC's at work. For my iMac I got a few months ago at home, I went with OWC for RAM. I had a great experience with OWC and would highly recommend them. I also bought the Guardian MAXimus from them after the first purchase.
Go ahead and save a few bucks and go with OWC.
BTW, it was very easy to change the RAM in my iMac.
The video link seems to be broken, still just a blackscreen for me anyhow.
i know the topic was old , but google is win when looking for guides to do something and i am a new mac user, in this case 27" iMac and wanted to add more memory to it.
memory is memory, if it works it generally works.
I went with OWC, works great for me.
youtube has several videos showing how to do this very simple modification. This video should help.
