Can the viruses affecting windows XP running in virtual PC effect the rest of my computer?

hardware wise? -- or is EVERYthing emulated and the virus would be isolated to the VPC volume?

Yeah, it's all emulated. If you get one, you might lose your VPC virtual drive, but that's the limit. Even modem and display hardware is emulated, so there's not much to worry about as long as you don't keep anything exclusively on tha windows volume.

Its all emulated and everything in virtual pc is contained in its own virtual drive. So I agree ,should have no problems with it affecting the mac os. Virtual PC is amazingly slow though.

I usually discard all the changes anyway. So even if a virus managed to get in there I don't think it matters.
