VLC on MBP

Does anybody else have problems with VLC on their MBP? Mine tends to skip alot or closes in the middle of viewing? or just not playing at all? Some of my vids do that. But when i play them on VLC for the PC it works perfectly any suggestions?

Are you using the Universal Binary version? VLC tends to stick quite a bit when it doesn't have sufficient available RAM or CPU resources, which would probably happen if you were running the PPC-only version under Rosetta.
