Does this plugin make VLC play media files in Safari like QT does?
I installed the plugin but QT still plays movies etc. in Safari. I checked the installed plugins in Safari and it shows Vlc with like 3 weird extensions whereas the quicktime plugin shows every media extension imaginable.

    plugin for firefox?

How do I get the vlc plugin to work in firefox...I installed the latest version, also installed the plugin separately, directly into the plugins folder within firefox. However, when I go to preferences->content->manage file types, the options to change mpeg's, avi's etc are completely gone...(ie nothing there)...I just want the files to open with vlc within the webpages as opposed to quicktime as I am having a sound problem with quicktime for mpeg's and avi's (mov and wmv-flip4mac work fine). Any suggestions?
