My wife hurt her hand yesterday and is going to have trouble typing for a while. I have not tried IBM ViaVoice or any voice recognition software in the past few years, but the last time I did, they stunk. I had a student who "wrote" her papers with ViaVoice (and then did not proofread them very well). They were riddled with errors.

Anyone actually use voice recognition software regularly? Or tried to recently? Anyone use anything you'd recommend? Or recommend staying away from?

Please no, "Well I used (insert here) two years ago. It sucked. They don't make it anymore," posts. We all know that voice recognition has a history of being terrible.

    Thanks in Advance,
    Chris

ViaVoice isn't too bad, if you proofread well, and, if you have a comp without an audio in port, an iMic.
