VPC Performance Comparisons

    Some of us have to use Windows, thanks to VPC v5 it is less painful, thanks to my TiBook it is now almost bearable ;)

    These performance marks were obtained by starting Excel in VPC W2K, selecting about Excel, selecting System Info:

    equivalent PC speed
    400 Mhz PB BK ~100 Mhz
    667 TiBook, OS 9 ~650 Mhz
    667 TiBook, OS X ~535 Mhz

    Connectix must have done something good with Altivec!!

    Has anyone got access to the new towers who could do the same comparison?? Especially the Dual 1Ghz. Although these tests will vary in accuracy depending on the quanitiy of RAM.

    What type of processor are you comparing the Mac to? P2?

    Just to add one:

    iBook 500, 192mb Ram, Win 95: 90mhz

    Not fantastically impressive....
