I was wondering if World Book is supposed to come with a new Apple when you buy it. If it didn't, how do you get it from Apple?

it comes on the consumer version of macs --> iMacs, eMacs and iBooks. The pro macs (PB, PM) do not come with the World Book.

With the internet as everywhere as it is, why would one want a CD-Rom encyclopedia these days?

Eh - it's nice to have all the information consolidated in a single place. I love Google to death, but it's far easier to find pertinent information on World Book. Beside that, they've done a great job integrating all sorts of links and such as cross-reference, just in case one needs more in depth information.

Plus the box has a Jaguar on it! :p :meow:
