Hey all, got a quick question. I imported all my songs into itunes, and when I did, it duplicated about alot of my music, meaning I had to go through and weed them out with the duplicate feature. So I unchecked every other song, and when I hit delete I told it to send them to the trash. Nothing happened.
    Is there something I'm missing?

EDIT: A mod can delete this. I figured it out!

This has been asked a number of times before, please use the search function.

If you can't find it with a search, here's a hint: It's in the menus.

I apologize if this post seemed angry. :)

i found alot of posts that say do a search on the topic, but not many that actually answer the questions hahah.. maybe they go too far back.. ive done the show duplicates but deleting them doesnt seem to fix the problem.. it seems to be doing it sparatically too.. i.e. if i import each mp3 one by one its fine, but as soon as i try and do 2 - 3 albums at a time thats when it starts doubling up.. Some files are actually trippled.. please dont tell me i have to manually delete these after i "show duplicates"

Why does itunes do this.. i dont have any actualy duplicates of the songs that its duplicating.. is it a bug in the software???
