Hi there,

About ten minutes ago I started seeing these weird black contour boxes on my desktop. They surround objects that I click and choose on the desktop, navigation buttons on safari, menu items. They are every where.

Also, at the same time I noticed that in my Apple/chooser menu there two of everything: 2 shutdown selections, 2 restart selections, 2 logout selection...

I have included a link to snapshots that I took, since it's a tad bit hard to explain this with words.

I am running Norton antivirus right now.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks....

I think that the black boxes are part of the Universal Access tools - they can be turned on and off using certain key combinations, so chances are you pressed one by mistake. If you forage around in System Preferences>Universal Access, you should be able to turn it off again. (Sorry for the vagueness - I'm on my Windows PC at work)
