Now it would be really interesting to see if he actually buys a G5 with it...

That is a lot of donations if the biggest one was only $200.

That is crazy. Anyone know how long this person was accepting donations? What perks (like ad space?), if any, did one get for donating?

i dont understand why people GIVE money away to "creative" eBay auctions. (like mystery envelopes or a piece of plastic with the word THIS written on it for $75)

Some people just have money to burn, and are stupid IMO.

The video he had up for it was hilarious. I gave him a buck just because of the sheer laugh factor (well, $1.30 with PayPal).

Good on him. I hope he posts a picture of his setup.

wow that person who donated $200 should be ashamed of themselves. That's absolutely disgusting to give $200 away to a stranger only to see them blow up a computer or something...jesus people are so stupid...

It looked as if that was one of his clients - we's a video editor.

Too bad the site has changed since he made the dough, it would all make more sense, then.

He does video editing for a living and he needs a new Mac. He thought if he got people to donate money for a G5, he'd blow up his G4 as a reward, basically.

The kid is brilliant. He got people to give him $5000. Who cares if people are stupid? I say prey on them. Good for this guy, he now has $5000 and can do whatever he wants.
