iPod What am i missing, album art?

I just dl'ed iTunes 7.1 and decied to look into the album art cover feature. I"ve got a Jpg of one cover i'm trying to drag to the "drag album artwork here" windows. It works, but when I come back to that song in the library the cover art is not there anymore
Did a search, didn't find anything, is there a problem with 7.1?
