What does "retired" mean?

    What does it mean when a user is "retired"? How is that status assigned?

    The irony is that you link to a post that uses you as an example:

    "vniow listed as 'retired'"

    I thought it funny atleast. :)

    Some greats have "unretired" in the past:

    Evander Holyfield
    Michael Jordan
    et. al.

    and more recently Brett Favre

    I thought retired mean, gray hair, liver spots, baldness, hair growing out of strange places, social security, etc.

    I suggest "retreaded", but for an entirely different set of circumstances.
