What kind of games can the macbook run? I'm not interested in DOOM 3 or anything that intensive. The most intensive game I would play is like Sims 2. It can play the original Sims right? Any example games are appreciated.

I think he means with the graphics capabilities of the macbook.
You can play the games, but don't expect amazing graphics, as a 64MB graphics card is pretty low-end..

How is gaming on the macbook compared to playing say Nanosaur on a 1.25GHz g4?

I hate to chip in, but gaming really isn't what this machine is about. Even if you're just a casual gamer, why not buy an Xbox 360?

If you want to 'play games' while you're on a business trip or something... well, pffft.

Sims 2 is probably asking a bit much. The original Sims should play well.

Anything that is primarily 2D or earlier 3D games (ala Half life) should play nicely.

It depends on the graphics card... I'm just looking for G4 specs...
EDIT: I see it has NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra. I'd say the G4 would have better video capabilities than a Macbook.

Sims 2, Railroad Tycoon, and World of Warcraft all play very nicely on my iBook, so they should all be fine on your MacBook. I know that WoW is Universal, and I think Sims 2 is as well now.

What's wrong with playing a game or two if you are on a business trip? You aren't working the entire trip, and your off-hour time is yours to burn. The OP's question was a valid one. There are games for the Mac, and someone who just bought new hardware might want to know which ones are playable. I know that I asked about WoW prior to buying it, because I was worried that the iBook couldn't handle it. Seeing as how there is no WoW for the Xbox, my only other alternative is to purchase a PC gaming notebook and carry it around with me. There are many games that are not available on consoles, and one cannot take a console on the road when traveling, or to the campus library.
