Alright here we go. This is the thread that was requested by the authorities.

The kissing thread can be locked.

So.. yeah. I am awake. And what I mean by that is, I can look on life from outside. If the world and all of you guys are like a school of fish underwater, I am watching you all from outside of the ocean. That's the best analogy I can think of.

Nothing bothers me. I know that it's all thoughts, and if you ever feel anger it's because you're arguing with reality, which is hopeless.

I'm confused - looking at life from the outside?

Enlightenment would be more of a deeper understanding of something, something more profound and it doesn't require looking at things from a different perspective (but that can help), its just understanding something you didn't know before (or something you didn't even know existed).

True enlightenment does not come from reading New Age philosophy.

And true enlightenment doesn't discount emotion.

"Enlightenment" is a nice little money-maker for gurus and the Church of Scientology to suck in people who need a crutch.

    Just my opinion.

If there was an identity left that I was still attachted too, it would be working great for him, whoever it would be.

As it is, I am in a world of loving clarity. I see everything exactly as it is, without a story about it.

Who would you be without your story? Because that is who you really are. Love. Pure love. Loving everything and being loved by everything.

Um... if there isn't an identity left, how are you posting?

Shouldn't you have moved beyond living creatures and their reincarnative habits, into Nirvana already?

It could be worse, he could have read Rand instead of Katie.

Then whose opinions are we seeing? The old identities? Because if they're yours, you're still attached.
Rand isn't as easily digested and regurgitated.

If you're not attached to it, why are you using it to post here?

They are macgeek's opinions, but "I" the true "I", is not attached to that identity.

Then why post? Your enlightenment seems to contain no logic and no reason.

"Enlightenment" is on a par with apathy, to which the standard reply is presently apropos: "I don't know and don't care".

I'm not gonna kill myself. Being free doesn't mean being stupid.

Therefore, i'm gonna do something in my 100 years here on earth.

    Why not post here?

I just had a venti iced coffee with four shots of espresso. If anyone is more awake than me, I'd like to meet them. Or maybe not....

This enlightenment that you speak of seems to be a good scapegoat for not taking responsibility for your own thoughts or actions. "It wasn't ME that was angry at all the PC users. It was the macgeek that was...." Sounds almost schizophrenic....
