I think this is a valid question since macs seem to be a luxury for the wealthy. I'm sure we won't be finding many people here who have dual processor powermac g5's with a $20,000 income.

    Let 'er rip!

    Mine should be about $30,000.

I'm not sure you'll be getting a lot of responses with actual dollar figures. This might make a good poll, though. Leaves people some anonymity.

This is sort of an odd thread.

I make around $250,000 (not including bonuses) a year, being a General Surgeon yet I only have a 12" PowerBook SuperDrive (stock model).

Some people may make $20,000 a year and own a Dual G5 but who knows, maybe they live with there parents.

I'm not going to post what I'm earning THIS year, but if y'all really want to be shocked, I'll post what I earned (i.e., what was listed on my W2) way back in 1999... helpful clues:

    1. By then, I'd been working for Microsoft for 7.5 years.
    2. I was VERY good at my job. VERY good.
    3. I exercised most of my stock options near the end of the year.

If enough people want to know, I'll post it here... ;)

I'm a student. If I find a dollar on the ground I put it in a jar and count my blessings. Yay! Food tonight!

Oh, and it's tax free too. :D

If I work a moderate amount of overtime throughout the year, I break 100k. Not too bad for someone under 30 (that's not a doctor or lawyer).

I make around $5,000 a year (full-time student). That said, I have very few expenses at the moment.

Well, I don't really have a yearly income, but I guess i will post my Dad's, its a weird story though.

My Dad was a BIG farmer down in So. Cal from about 1990-2001. He went through a big divorce, bunch of stuff happened, had to file bankrupcy, lost all teh ranches, etc. The net business income was about 5mil at the time, he made like 400k.

He is in real estate now, and he has been closing some big deals. Not houses, but land. Last check I saw come in was nearly 130,000, so he's doing awesome.

I would deem this entirely none of anyone's business, tasteless, presumptuous and rude. So, depending on what and who I read, we're about $4000.00 below monthly poverty income averages in the U.S. It does come in handy for FAFSA and your kids getting help for University.. Again, my profression has not been considered a lucrative one by any stretch. We are sometimes amazed where the needed funds come in and how the timing is more times than not, perfect. being it's faith based. We have learned to live within our means, (started out with the clasic envelope budgetting system), and have no depts, own no property other than vehicles and office equipment and do no begrudge those who do. I don't want what they have, and are learning in whatever state we are, to be content.

I agree. This topic seems inappropriate. It's a tale of the haves, the have-nots, the hope-to-haves, and the had-it-and-lost-its.

My mother taught me that asking people what they make per year is rude. With that said, I don't make anything...

Agreed, I'm glad someone finally said it. I'm honestly suprised how many people are so forthcoming with such private information.
