What is your favorite and most used bit of free software?

    How about EasyWMA. Gotta say, it's really pretty useful for all those nasty WMAs that should have been mp3s.

    BTW, I'm not sure but there might already be a thread pretty similar to this.

    i agree with this. If ppl just add the apps to the existing threads, they can become a nice source of information.

    Do you mean freeware, shareware, bundled in a commercial package free, or open source?


    Bundled free:
    iTunes on Mac and Windows
    AIM/iChat

    Freeware: (I actually think this is open source though)
    Kismac (because Netstumbler on Windows is azz)

    Open Source:
    Mozilla FireFox (all platforms)
    DVD Shrink on Windows
    BitTorrent & its offspring (all platforms)

    1. iTunes - I love my music so have to love that wonderfull app
    2. Graphic converter - was so happy when I discovered it came bundled w my PB
    3. quick silver - just discovered it, just brilliant...

    And just want to mention wings3d - a very nice 3d-modelling app, very easy to learn and intuitive to use.
