The title says it all really :p. Just for interest's sake, post the name, picture or link to picture of your favourite Album Cover! There are some really great album covers out there, with alot of imagination and creativity.

Personally, mine would have to be Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon :D

The vinyl double gatefold for R.E.M.'s 'New Adventures In Hi-Fi' by Stipe and Bilheimer is pretty special ;) and is certainly a vivid visual counterpoint for the music.

As is Nine Inch Nails 'The Fragile' album by David Carson.

I'm quite fond of Depeche Mode's 'The Singles 81>95' and 'The Singles 86>98' by Intro.

And I love Autechre's 'LP5' by The Designers Republic, especially in the black CD version. ;)

The Limited version of Thurston Moores 'Root' album with the vacuum bag is special, and is an imaginative concept.

Not albums, but Pan-sonics 'Artic Rangers' is pretty f**kin' fresh too. ;)

The Clash: London Calling - just an awesome photo that is perfect for that album

Toyah: The Changeling and Anthem - One of my favourite artists with two album covers that capture the feeling from the albums perfectly

    [IMG] [IMG]

New Model Army: Thunder And Consolation - because it's often best to keep it simple (as with the OPs Pink Floyd example... where is The Wall, BTW?)

Probably going to add more as I remember them... ;)

    Got a couple.

If you know the meaning behind this, it's really cool. I can't remember where I read about it, but if you google "X+Y album generator" or something like that you can get the details.

All the In Through The Out Door covers combined make possibly the best cover ever.

Herb Alpert's Whipped Cream & Other Delights from 1965. I remember seeing this in my parents' record collection before I knew what sex was...but I knew this was something special. :D

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I have that record around here somewhere. If I find it I'll send it to ya. Unless of course it's worth some money on ebay ;)

Just remembered another one :). I like this album because it is obscure. It was also introduced in different colours.

    True Colours, by Split Enz
