What magazines do you read? Which do you subscribe to? This can be anything from MacAddict to Home and Garden, Maxim to Playboy, Rolling Stone to Entertainment Weekly, GamePro to Biking or Surfing magazines. Lets include large magazines like National Geographic and Architectural Digest to fill the gap.

I usually read magazines like Automobile or other car mags that look interesting, but I'll sometimes peruse through a magazine like Esquire since they're interesting to me (sometimes).

I don't read any Mac related magazines because I get enough of a dose coming to MacRumors. ;)

    i subscribe to:
    wired
    macaddict
    macworld
snowboarder (though i'm going to let that subscription expire)

    i regularly read/purchase:
    icreate
    macformat
    oxygen and/or women's muscle & fitness

my husband has a subscription to maxim, so i sometimes read that. during the summer, i buy motorcycle-related magazines (usually the UK ones - SuperBike, Two, etc.).

my husband would say that i like magazines maybe a bit too much - there's always a pile of them somewhere in the house that i haven't finished reading and i've already purchased more. at least i do recycle them when i'm done with them...

    I love magazines! :D

    Currently I subscribe to:

    AutoWeek
    International Air Power Review
    Macworld
    National Geographic
    Time (family subscription)
Journal of the AAA (no not that AAA, I mean the American Anthropological Association :p )

At the newsstand I often pick up:

    Mac Addict
CAR (the UK magazine - a subscription in the US is $$$! :( )
    Sport Compact Car
    Wooden Boat
    Sail
    Guns & Ammo
    Whatever else catches my eye

    Mmmmmmmmm.....Magazines.

When I was 12/13 I got a job in the biggest newsagents in my area and started to read everything, you name it I read it. It got to be ridiculous I'd be taking home over a hundred titles a month. I clearly remember walking home from work one night with my back-pack full to bursting with magazines, when I went to jump over this low wall on the way home, just as I always did, I couldn't clear it and landed flat on my face nearly crushed under my back-pack!

No way I can afford that now but I still go in and flick through the obscure stuff I used to read.

    I still regularly buy;
    Autocar (Weekly)
    MacUser (Fortnightly)
    Car (Monthly)
T3 (Monthly) but it's getting so bad that's gonna stop

Heh quite a few Maxim/FHM readers here.

In all seriousness though, I read anything from Sports (Slam - NBA/NCAA bball), to cars (Import Tuner/Car and Driver/etc.), to computers (Wired/CPU Magazine/Mac World).

I also pickup the occasional free magazine online, so those get delivered to my dorm, but those usually last only 3-4 issues before they pull the plug haha.

    One and only one.

    Alpinist

It was founded by Marc Ewing (Red Hat Linux) and is headquartered out of Jackson, WY. Each issue is like a work of art. High altitude adventure, fantastic pics (some historical), route diagrams, minimal ads (about 7 per issue) - moxie. In sum, an aesthetically perfect mountaineering mag.

I believe this publication is the Apple Computer of the magazine world.

Generally, I am not a big magazine person, but I am devoted to a couple of mags...

    1. Dwell
    2. RES
    3. ID

In addition, I occasionally pick-up Wallpaper, to see how I could live if I was considerably richer, and Architectural Record, to look at the pretty buildings...

Wordmonger reminded me of Atlantic Monthly, which consistently features great content, yet always escapes my mind at purchase time.

I tend not to subscribe, despite the substantially better deals offered, as I enjoy going down to my local cigar shop/magazine store every month.

My favorite magazine is Lenswork. It's a fine art photography magazine, and it's simply gorgeous. Each issue I receive is a treasure.

I have a subscription to Wired, but I don't read it as thoroughly as I used to.

I enjoy reading National Geographic, though I don't have a subscription at the moment. I really enjoy the articles about foreign cultures.

I'll occasionally pick up something else at the moment depending on what my current obsession is. Just about anything is fair game.

    New Yorker (weekly)
    Economist (weekly)
    Harpers (monthly)
    Time Out NY (weekly)
    New York (weekly)
    Dwell (monthly)
    Communication Arts (monthly)
    Print (monthly)
    How (monthly)
    McSweeney's (quarterly)
    The Believer (monthly)
    Cook's Illustrated (monthly)

I'll also pick up Vanity Fair if it looks like there a good feature.

    That's about it.

I use to subscribe to Sky & Telescope and National Geographic, but they got too expensive for my college income.

I have no subscriptions to any magazines anymore. The internet have made magazines obsolete for me... for the most part. The last magazine I subscribed to was Electronic Gaming Monthly, which was a great gaming magazine, which slipped a bit recently.

But I do read NewsWeek and Time magazine occasionally, stolen from the dentist's office :D

I like Dwell but its become a real billionare hipster magazine with $2000 luggage and $10,000 chairs.

From my university's library: Macworld, Popular Science, National Geographic, other computer mags, any art/graphic design mags, Communication Arts, Time mag, Spin,

    At bookstore: Top Gear, Spin

At my grandparents home several years ago I used to read their issues of Popular Science/Mechanics from the 40's, 50's, 60's, etc. I wish I had asked if I could keep them when my grandfather moved. But alas, I missed out.

Other publications: Seattle Weekly, The Stranger, Tablet, Venus, Band Doppler, and more.

I have slacked off recently due to class assignments.
