I was thinking about the Virtual Console titles that I want see come out for the Wii. I know we all will probably download the standards (Zelda, Mario, Sonic, Final Fantasy, Castlevania, Metroid, Mega Man etc.) but what lesser known games are hoping to see for the Wii VC? Here is my list so far:

    NES
Little Nemo: The Dream Master (Capcom)
Duck Tales (Capcom, I know probably won't happen because of Disney...)
River City Ransom (Technos but could be remade by Altus?)
    StarTropics (Nintendo)
    Treasure! (Rare)

    Genesis
Shining Force I & II (Sega)...And Shining Force III (all three parts) if we somehow get Saturn games.
    Flashback (Sunsoft)

Thats all I can think of right now but I'm sure there are many many more...I know these aren't super cultish but they aren't that mainstream either...Maybe you guys can think of better ones.

Flashback was on the Mega Drive?! I'd go for that then. Loved it on the Amiga. Introduced me to atmosphere in games.
    NES-
Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers :p

No. Tell you what I want - downloadable GB games. WTF are Nintendo playing at?! The GB dominated the planet and now they're just forgetting about it, even removing legacy mode from DS machines?! They can't just forget it and I want to play vintage GB games on the Wii. My wish? Gameboy Games.

No kidding. The Zelda Oracle games would be awesome.

Chip n Dale! All of the Capcom games are great for the NES IMO. Even the Adventures in the Magic Kingdom one is kinda fun...

I always swore I'd beat Flashback some day, but I never did :( . Anyway, it isn't exactly exotic, but I'd love to see the Shinobi series on the Wii (including the original on Sega Master System). Shinobi was the first video game I ever owned.

One of the first games I ever played, ever, was The Oregon Trail. And it was also played on the Classic if I remember correctly. <Flashback> You die of dysentery. </Flashback> Ahhh :)
That would be the perfect nostalgic game to put on the Wii.

I don't have a Wii (yet), but thinking of some of these games reminded me of the ones I loved playing on the NES. Since I haven't looked at any of the VC games for the Wii, I might be listing some that are already out.

    NES
    Super Dodgeball (!)
    Blades of Steel
    R.C. Pro-Am
    Battletoads
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (All of them)

I'm sure there are more, but those are some of my favorites that I can remember playing.

Yeah I know, but it isn't anywhere on the same level of noteriety of Nintendo's other titles. Even Kid Icarus is probably better known.

I didn't include games like Earthbound or Chronotrigger because they are well known and on many people's top 10 lists. Of course, maybe they should be considered exotic because nobody can afford the carts haha. Same thing goes for Super Mario RPG.

I loved that game back in the day! :)

Not obscure (to me, at least), but I really, really want NES Gunsmoke and Kid Icarus. I know Icarus has already been announced, but I want that game soooooo bad. Seriously- one of the best games I have ever played.

I would also like to see Marble Madness- imagine playing with the wiimote!!!!

Theres always hope, although I know it will never, ever happen- RBI Baseball and Tecmo Bowl.

There was a ROM I downloaded once years ago, but I never knew what it was called. My friends and I called it Happy Purple Vampire Boy, referring to the title character. It was a side scrolling shooter of the strangest kind. In one level we had to shoot our way through a maze of graham crackers while dodging Ritz crackers and Dots being thrown by gummi bears. The boss monster was a ginormous teddy bear in a chef's hat. Weird, weird game but really fun.

Anyways, that's what I'd like to see on the VC. Anybody know what it was?
