Im having a hard time classifying myself... it may be very easy... some of you may know how to classify me pretty good by some quick questions... but I dont know how. So help me out a little.

    Jelloshotstules thinks im conservative.

I just may be... i dont care... but i want to know for sure.

So anyone got a good test to go by that will determine wither im liberal ... conservative...independent or what?

    who cares right? well whatever.

Wow, seems like a lot of people are questioning themselves recently. Interesting.

I would say in the yellow-orange part of the visible light segment.

why would you want to classify yourself? perhaps a better question is, 'which views seem to be based on emotion and impulse, and which views seem to be logically calculated?'

labeling things/ideas/people as liberal/conservative can often lead to underdevelopment as such classification creates exposure to the tensions between liberals and conservatives and facilitates the creation of prejudices. if people label you as conservative, some people might stop listening to you.

as for the test, it's certainly quick and easy, but since it offers so few choices (on such carefully selected issues), it's not very accurate. those F scale test thingies might be somewhat more helpful

an interesting test, but not enough questions

i was termed left liberal, but i am more of a centrist

if bush avoids war, and somehow catches bin laden, and somehow deposes saddam without all out war (think special forces...that's their job), and boosts the economy, he will get my vote in 2004

now that is more centrist thinking than a left liberal:p

man im down with that. however while they are there (special forces) id want them to open up a can on saddams croonies too.

does that make me a centerist leaning to the right?

    lol

The quiz termed me as a liberterian. That could be because my genereal attitude towards government is "leave me the hell alone" :p

The questionairre on the libertarian website put me at ultra left liberal while the other one put me into a slightly liberal/libertarian category, almost in the middle. Most of you would probably classify me as a pretty hardcore republican but, hey, you never know. http://www.politicalcompass.org/

According to the "Political Compass" from above:

    Your political compass
    Economic Left/Right: -1.38
    Authoritarian/Libertarian: -5.08
(Since the graph doesn't seem to copy well)

So I'm pretty much a central Libertarian.

The libertarians think I'm as follows:

According to your answers, your political philosophy is left-liberal.

    Left-Liberal
Left-Liberals prefer self-government in personal matters and central decision-making on economics. They want government to serve the disadvantaged in the name of fairness. Leftists tolerate social diversity, but work for economic equality.

I can't wait to see what the other one says.

I'm like Gandhi, at least on the compass

I prefer not to classify myself.

But if I had to, I'd say I was a realist.

And hetero-sexual (not that there's anything wrong with that).
