No photo? Can't believe it!

I can't find a 'real' photos of my first car (similar attached)! It was a Pontiac Phoenix Hatchback ~ 1982 (light blue, with *automatic* locks, which a big deal at the time). It was a Chevy Citation clone/look-a-like (like in the attached photo).... I remember the doors would readily freeze in the winter so I had to commonly enter through the hatch back to start the car after a snow or freezing rain... But, I can't find any photo(s) of the car!!! Horrible... no photo of my first car!!! WTF happened.. and I loved that car up to the day it died...

I still don't have a car, i just drive my mom's toyota.
i'm waiting on my parents to buy me one :D...but that will take some convincing.
Although for insurance, i "drive" my sisters beater, a 1987 Honda Accord, which keeps my insurance dirt cheap.

I had a 1993 Mercury Tracer (used). I had it for nine years - and though it wasn't flashy in any sense of the word, it got great gas mileage (which is helpful when you're a poor high school/college/graduate student).

I'm sure I have a picture of mine buried in a box somewhere, but I'm too lazy to dig it out. ;) This one's close enough:

My first car was a hand-me-down 1986 Honda CRX. My Grandfather was it's first owner and since it was his 'fun car' (nicknamed Puddle Jumper) it was pretty bare bones. It featured a manual transmission, manual choke, AM radio... the only luxury was A/C, my grandfather had it for 5 years before he died and put around 50,000Kms on it. After that my Dad used it as a commuter car (thankfully adding a AM/FM radio and tape deck) and in another 5 years he gave it to me when the odometer was around 160,000Kms.

It looked a lot like this one, less the moon-roof and black hood scoop (and mine had better rims).

It was a really fun car that I miss terribly. It was still running when I sold it, but wouldn't pass emission standards so I'm not sure what was done with it.

Mine :D

2001 Celica GT

Was pulled out of a junkyard, but is nice once again.
No headlights, mirrors, tailights or rear bumper yet though. Until it is finished i'm driving a 1996 Buick Regal that I bought for $200, but technically the Celica is my first car.

My first car was a 1987 Mazda 323 which looked something like this:

Previon-89Mazda323.jpg

Except it was light blue, and a huge P.O.S.

In 1998 I bought this:

And I still drive it.

Can i have my car back plz? :D

I remember my first car. Got it way back, like ummmm, yesterday? :p

It did not have a very reliable engine, and I sort of outgrew it by the time I was 4.

Wow, I used to have one of those, I believe it was a slightly newer model though.

Also, my 1 1/2 year old brother has a 2006 model.

1986 Toyota Hilux. bought by my father brand-new. I drove it from 1996-1999. It is still going strong - right now it is used by my (not-so-little-anymore) little brother.

My first car - i think it was a 1996 Chrysler Town and Country green mini-van! Had a huge dent in the side of it from when my garage came out of nowhere and sideswiped my sister when she was parking. It was ridiculous! Don't think I have any pictures of the 'Testosterone Mobile' though...

Kingsly

Edit: Kingsly, what year is your beemer? Two years ago, I bought a 318is from a man named Kingsley, I thought that was kind of funny, is it a name thing?

Lol, no connection! :D

I actually wanted a 318i (for the fuel economy) but am quite pleased with the sportiness I get from the 6cyl 325i. MPG isn't great (24-30) but hey, can't have cake and eat it, you know?

It's a 93. :) What year is yours?

is that with the finished brush-guard or an earlier picture?

Thats a before pic. The brush guard is still sitting in my basement and I am working on it slowly- its in pretty rough shape in some places. Apparently for Land Rover galvanized steel did not exist in 1998. They use this plastic like paint thats more melted to itself around the metal on than actually bonded to the metal. The result is once water gets under it, the metal starts to rust and there is nothing protecting the surround area and it speads.

I don't know how its going to come out. It its bad I'll just sell it to a metal junkyard ($20 value hehe). At this point I'm going to have to Bondo a couple parts of it. It might just be easier to buy a new one for $750 from LR or $450 for a 3rd party that looks the same as the LR. Or I could do an A-Frame for $300.
