Top five that were not mentioned allready

Thrillride Pinball was great and there was a time limited demo of it too.
Star Wars: Episode 1: Racer was cool too. This game can be played online with Gameranger.
Duke Nukem 3D would still be good to play, if only to hear the best one-liners of any video game.
Lode Runner 2 was a great isometric 3D puzzle game.
Carmageddon was perfectly immoral and a unique racing game.

That's all I have for now. Good luck trying to find any of these Classic classics ;)

I'd agree with Rune. That was a fun game.

Also look at Summoner if you like RPG type games. That will keep you busy for a while too.

I thought the request was for OS 9-only games...not much point in booting into OS 9 if the games run fine under Classic, no?

So that rules out almost all of the games mentioned so far, including Carmageddon, Carmageddon2, and Rune (run these with OpenGlide).

I'd say TIE Fighter and X-Wing for games that don't run under Classic. (Any more; they might have at one point, before Panther. Which does run Heroes III fine, by the way....)

Try any of the sim games, those are great. Also, Realmz, that game is a wicked fun RPG.

I know he's looking for OS9 games, but FYI there is an installer for Starcraft that makes it OS X native, with online play after installing the newest patch.

(I use it myself when I need that Starcraft fix! I have a G4 Imac that boots OSX only)

    F/A-18 Hornet 3.0

I never managed to get this thing working in Classic mode but a dual boot'll be fine. Endless entertainment. :D
