Using traditional hand placement, what is the longest word you can type with just one hand?

I've got aggregate, nine letters all left handed.

Wouldn't you know it, there's already a website devoted to this question.

Their longest one (notwithstanding the ridiculous chemical formula above ;))

    Aftercataracts for 14.

And I suppose I could rerererererereaggravate something also....

Not entirely related but I smiled when I found out you can type "typewriter" all on the top row of keys!

Bonus points if you post a movie of you saying that ;)

    :D Good find!

Does pasting a really long word you already have on the clipboard using Cmd+V count as typing with one hand? :p I'm not sure I could beat that acetylserylnonsense though...

I sea what you did there. You broke the rules with that one. Y and T are operated by different hands, so you cannot type both t and y with one hand.

    Therefore, fail.

Not entirely on topic, but we have Googled the answer ;p

When I smashed one of my hands rock climbing, I learned to touch type with one hand.

At http://www.typingtest.com/ I can score 35 WPM with my left hand (dominant) and 37 WPM with my right hand (the one I didn't smash). Anyone else?

What exactly is the definition of word here? Are any of these words found in any dictionary of the English language? Tesseradecads appears to be a word, but tesseradecades doesn't. Aftercateracts (Medical aberration? Doesn't appear to be used with any frequency in medicine). Tetrastearates I guess could be seen as legitimate, but....

Keeping the rest of my fingers on the home keys I can reach every letter on the keyboard with my index finger.

I have freakishly long and slender hands.
