Obviously, only intended for those of age... *nudge-nudge, wink-wink*

What beer is your favourite? I've a few - being originally from New Zealand, we have a nice range of 'em.

    Lion Red
    Steinlager
    Mac's Gold (excuse the pun!)

But I was in Alaska a few years back, and had an amazing beer from Juneau, made from real glacier water. It's called "Alaskan Amber". That ranks RIGHT up there with the best...

    :D

    >2% is for lightweights!

Heck yeah! And for people who want to become lightweights. :p

The closest I'll come to a "drink" would be Pepsi (No, I won't post that photo. :)) or old-fashioned Java.

Speaking of which, did you know that America is one of the most coffee-addictive countries? We're proud to be Americans!

    Murphy's
    Boddington's
    Caffrey's
    and Guiness (can or bottle)

All of them have to have the NO2 cartridge in them (which all the cans do) to give the thick, creamy head that makes them rule.

bud is for lightweights... :p :D

Miller Genuine Draft is the only domestic beer I like. The majority of domestic beer is like freakin' water. Blah.

    Very well stated Alpha!!

One that I can add to this list is Aldaris Porteris. A very nice dark beer from Latvia. It is now one of my very favorites. Find it. Drink it. You will love it!

I go through phases - I'll drink a particular beer almost exclusively for a few months, then find something else I like and drink that exclusively.

These days I try not to drink much at all, on account of beer being somewhat, uh, calorific, but my list of favorites in roughly chronological order is:

Rolling Rock (because it was OK for fairly cheap beer. At the time, cheapness was a major factor in my choice of beer)
Heineken (odd that, used to love it, now I can't stand the stuff)
Sprecher Dopplebock (local microbrewery, their spelling not mine)
Warsteiner (because it was OK for fairly cheap imported beer, for those times when quantity is more important than quality)
Guinness (not in a bottle, though)
Pilsner Urquell (current favourite - nice taste, reasonably priced, choice of 12 or 24oz :))

There's plenty of others I like, but all of the above are things that are fairly readily available without going to one of the big upmarket stores whose liquor section has lots of weird imports.

Oh, yeah - Sam Adam's Cranberry Lambic. Love the stuff, but you can only buy it around Christmas. Not a real lambic, lots of people hate it, but I'll buy the 12 bottle Christmas Selection (including the disgusting Old Fezziwig Ale) just to get the two bottles of Cranberry Lambic it includes. Also occasionally fond of Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat.

Finally, Sam Adam's Triple Bock. Most alcoholic beer brewed in the US (and I think the only things stronger are some of the Belgian abbey ales). Sells in a teeny little 6oz bottle costing about $13. Foul stuff - mix 5oz of Hershey syrup and a shot of vodka to get the same overall effect much more cheaply.

ah, resurrection of an old thread topic - this might be the 3rd time I've seen this, but always interesting to see what people like.

I'm an ale guy, love the darker beers, guiness, bass and a nice little brew out of boston - Harpoon Alt. But once in a while a nice Belgian Trapist ale is great - Chimay

But I do have to say on a recent trip to New Orleans - I had an opportunity to escape the heat in a practically frozen 20 oz. schooner of Bud. I don't like rice beers (most big american beers have more rice than hops or anything else), but this day it was perfect.

I haven't had one since - last beer I had was a Bass.

    Bells Oberon

There's a great brewpub here in Kalamazoo, Mi (Bells). Their beer realy is amazing. Their summer speciality, Oberon, is fantastic. It actually looks like a nice big thick glass of orange juice! They are going to increase production in the next few years, so keep an eye out for it. Very worth your while.

    Delirium Tremens. Hands down.

If i can't afford Delirium, theni go straight to NewCastle or Boddingtons.

Murphy's Irish Stout is nice too.

There's also a cool beer called "Old Peculiar" that I enjoy often.
