    My picks:

Old school - Skyfox on the Apple II - that takes me back a fair bit :)

(Also played Elite a lot on other platforms but only a little on the Apple.)

New school - Haven't really found any modern Mac flying games I liked. Nanosaur had a nice swoopy feel, but couldn't get into the rather silly story. Also ejnoyed the flying levels on Bugdom.

    What's your pick?

it has to be Spectrum/Super Maze Wars, they may not seem like a flying game but they were to me and they are coool

Maybe I wasn't clear, I mean 'first person flyer' games. Not sure if that's a clear definition or not

I liked WingNuts 2 but it's more of a topdown view game - I like to feel I'm actually in the ship looking out from the cockpit (or actually riding the flying moth in Bugdom).

Favorite of all time (which I still spend a ton of time playing) is Hellcats Over the Pacific. Second would be Warbirds

Same here. been running X-plane since what, version 5 or 6 on winblows. Waited until I got the MBP to get 8. Maybe 9 will be out when I get a mac Pro- it'll scream there. Only thing that bugs me is the panel size....ergh....if I could have a bigger one (or more functions on the Avidyne entegras) I'd be a real happy camper with my customized 1337 Hindenburg.

Spectre VR was the closest to a flying game I ever played and that was more of a controlled glider. It was certainly fun being as simple as it was.

i think i saw on macgamestore.com that the new x-plane has 60gb of files. I think it is so you can fly all over the world. sounds pretty swanky
