Tonight a few network TV channels interrupted normal programming in order to carry a police pursuit live. The rational side of me says that chases are bad: they cost money and manpower. Often, they result in property damage or (heaven forbid) injury to one or more parties. As awful as this sounds, though, I secretly thought to myself, "YESSS, police chase to watch!" There is something just so exciting about watching a live police chase.

The chase went on for a while, and eventually they just returned to normal programming, much to my dismay. Now I feel dirty for watching it, but what can I say -- it's a guilty pleasure.

So, fellow Macrumors members, what's your guilty pleasure? ;)

It would be trashy TV, but the wife won't tolerate it...

I still haven't seen any of 'Desperate Housewives'

i love watching those shows with clips of car chases, like on spike tv or fx but it seems like there's never any around here, always in california...my mom always says they're stupid and i shouldn't like them for many obvious reasons but i do!

Not many of my vices make me feel guilty, but this one does.

I've already invested what seemed like whole days into GTA:SA and I haven't had it a week.

Haha, OK, I should probably have added that one to my vices. I spend so much money on gadgets - it's like I have the excuse of not smoking crack or eating Caviar... like you, my other half is a welcome limiter.

    Oh WOW! That is sick

But then again, if I see Jerry Springer on, it is like a train wreck. I can't seem to stop watching the insanity.

That is until my wife tells me to turn that trash off and jolts me back to reality.

    WINNER!!!

I saw Springer on TV the other day in a hospital waiting room. It was something like "I'm Bringing Your Sorry Ass On Springer To Prove You Are My Baby's Daddy!"

    Brilliant!
