    Hi friends,

If you set aside the factor of time and waiting, when would be the best time to buy a MacBook Pro? Right now, a couple months, summer, or fall?

i'm happy with the current specs on the macbook pro. the only thing i'd improve is battery life, and i don't expect to see major improvements in that anytime soon. if you can wait, it might be a good idea to wait for leopard and ilife to be released. i, myself, would purchase now.

Only major reason not to buy now would be leopard and iLife 07.

    There is always a tomorrow...

    until the day you die.

There is no right time to buy a MBP, just buy it when you need it.

That's right, get them while they're grainy -- caveat emptor indeed!

(PS are you a Law / Latin student?!)

I would say the best time would be to hold out for iLife + OSX if you can wait.

theres a real problem with peolpe buying laptops and computers from apple. I was part of this myself once... everyone asks is it a good time to buy... apple do rev like every 6 months and there will always be newer and better, if you need it now, get it now, Apple laptops have a good resale value so you might aswell take a chance, if you want a laptop go get it. Its not like its the end of the world if theres a revision, PC laptops are never in date for long, theres new things all the time... just go and get one if you want it!

They're rated Neutral Mid-Product Cycle on this site's Buyer's Guide. Same goes for a lot of the other Mac products as well.
