Ok guys, I've been waiting since January 2007 to get a new computer set up and get rid of my 2 year old iMac G5. But I'm coming to a sad realization that Apple won't update it's hardware for a really long time. I need the general opinion of when this will happen because I don't want to get a MBP and 30'' ACD only to wait a few months for it to get upgraded. Also give me any buying information you have. Remember, I want a MBP (no prof. apps, just safari and quicktime mostly) and a 30'' ACD. Thanks!

47 million people ask questions like this and the answer is always nobody knows but Apple. Also, what do you need a MacBook Pro and 30" ACD to use just Safari and QuickTime for?

If you have a G5 iMac now, I don't see the big rush when you can easily wait a few more months.
