I clicked the "music" folder and in it, i have iTunes and "My Music" Ive always imported everything into iTunes but I dont remember if i made "My Music" when I 1st got my Mac and wanst sure what the hell I was doing or what. How do I make sure where iTunes is grabbing the files from so I dont accidently delete the wrong things. I know u can click and tell it to locate those songs but for all my luck, i can keep clicking the ones in the iTunes folder

did I even make sense?

In your home folder should be a folder name Music. Inside that folder should be a folder name iTunes. Inside that folder you should preserve three items:

File iTunes Library

File iTunes Music Library.xml

Folder iTunes Music

Of course, the iTunes folder location is different in Windows. But remember, you can choose to store your music at any location available to your computer.
