Bought a MBP 17" C2D Saturday and everything is fine, but I,ve got a little question about the supplied remote.
    Where do I put it?
I know there's nothing on the MBP to store it, so what do you guys do with it to keep it with the MBP?
First though was to use stick-on velcro but it's not very aesthetic.
    Any idea?
Did a search on the subject, didn't find anything!

Before I found out what it was, I thought the opening for the Express card was for the remote.

I put it right under my MBP which is on iCurve. As a habit, I always put things on the same place (I hate putting things in a different places after moving them; this arrangement can only be attained as long as I am single). The remote is very small. As long as you have set up a habit to put it back to the place you have designed after use, I think you would be set.

But what about when you know the laptop is going places, to the boat, to a neighbor, etc?
Would have been nice if a slot like the expresscard was built-in to store the remote.
I'm thinking of making a little transparent vinyl envelope that i'd stick on the MBP's cover. I'd slip the remote in there to transport it.

Mine is either on my computer itself, behind it where my external display is, next to it, in the restroom (while im getting ready i can point it out to change a song) or in my room, or in my laptop bag where the cell phone slot is, or in my pocket, or in my room on the floor next to my bed. :)

    I have a MBP

I kinda wish Apple had made a built-in slot on the computer to hold it, or something like that. Of course, I own a Mini so it's not a problem! My remote is... well, I don't know where it is. I need one of those beeping keychain things for it, I swear.

I just put mine in a small pouch in my bag. It works fine for me. It gets scratched like mad but who cares, it's a remote :D

I was wondering.. anybody know the depth of the expresscard slot? Maybe the plastic on the remote can be shaved off enough to fit it inside there :D

Although the plastic on the remote is pretty thin already. But fitting it in that slot would be useful, especially since I'm sure many of us don't even use it.

    Nope doesn't fit :(.

It would be good if they could incorporate something into the next one to hold it, as it would be good to carry around with you. Just a small slot in the side, and they could make a little eject button on the keyboard for it like the CDs eject, as it would be cooler then just clicking out.

Would be useful, especially as it seems that they want to get people focused on the front row things.

I have this nice little drawstring bag that came with a Bluetooth Bluetake mouse I purchased a while back. The bag is nice because it holds both my wireless Mighty Mouse and the Apple Remote. I just drop that into my laptop case and don't have to worry about misplacing the remote, which doesn't get used much.
