    Ok,
As most of you know, my company General Cybernetics is now advertising with Macrumors. We have been very successful with the ads here at Macrumors, and will be a long term advertiser. Here is my question. I want to know, what other Mac related sites you visit on a regular basis. I am going to expand our advertising soon, and I need to know where you all go so I can make a good decision on where to place my ads.

Thanks for the help and support

    Besides MacRumors, it's maccentral.macworld.com and www.macminute.com

I look at some of the others but generally they're either way behind or haphazard.

I just posted a rant a few weeks ago about how MOSR, and to a lesser extent MacNN, have made some really stupid mistakes lately, thus losing me (and a few others apparently) as "viewers". MOSR was asking for an ADC ATI Radeon 8500. There is no such creature. And they way they asked wasn't very appropriate. They wanted someone to give them one to "test" for Gaming Performance in exchange for (maybe) ad space. Most of the stuff they post is made up or stolen from another site and, unlike this site, they usually pretend they have some kind of "insider" info.

They are good for some info (if taken with a grain of salt), but most of it is barely good enough for a laugh. I can't remember the last time they were right about something they didn't get from another site.

MacNN just put up a story on the front page a few weeks ago that was, more a less, just some guy who was complaining about there not being a Tower Server available (for those of you keeping score, there's one available now), and the xServe not being good enough. It didn't make any sense, and it was the top "story". That combined with the fact that I can't seem to post sometimes, using several different versions of OSs and Browsers (when it's not crashing my computer). I don't know why, and neither did they. Though there was a thing awhile ago about an inconsistency with IE6.

Someone asked me how I would feel if they closed up shop. I told them I could care less. Just gotta rant some more. They were my firsts. And who says its free? As you can atest, people pay for ads, which pay their bills. More hits, more satisfied "customers", more advertising money. As you can also atest, it works on good sites. Just ask OWC, PowerMax, and SmallDog.

    But to answer your question:

MacCentral for the news. I hear MacMinute is good too.

XLR8YourMac for tips and info (he's pretty good, and really helpful. I respect him and his site. Very professional).

ThinkSecret once and awhile for some good info. That site is usually right-on about most things.

    AppleTurns for the laughs.

And of course MacRumors to b*tch on the forums when I have free time. Which I have a lot of lately. But you knew that already.

I used to really dig www.macintouch.com about 5 or 6 years ago. I always felt it was a rather reputable place for getting my daily fix. I was abducted by the peecee world about 4 years ago and lost touch. macrumors.com has helped me escape my peecee abductors now.

Have you looked into the Canadian market yet? Or is it just to hard to deal with international sales?

Oh, and do you take q numbers from the UofA?

    cheers!
    John again
