What kind of Macintosh are you using? That will help greatly in recommending a video card that will suit your needs.

I'd probably go with a Radeon 9000 Pro. It's a solid card that will do well with most games. I wouldn't get anything more powerful because your CPU will not be able to keep up with the graphics card.

I'll have to agree. Currently ATI is holding the lead over Nvidia and while there is no retail version of the 9600 for the Macintosh(it's built to order for the G5's) your best option would be with the 9000. Until there's a retail 9600 for the Macintosh, there is too much middle ground between the 9000 and the high end 9700, 9800.

These guys are right a 9000 would be the best choice though a geforce4mx can be bought for 70 bucks and is a step up from that rage 128 you most likely have. anything more then these cards and your cpu wont be able to feed it. in fact your cpu will be struggling to feed the 9000.

Get the 9000. I have one in my Power Mac and it's a great card. The best place to look would be eBay. If you don't find one right now, just keep checking every few days till you find it. Make sure you get the Mac version. I wouldn't bother trying to get a PC version and flashing it. It's just a hassle.
