Seeing the huge demand for iPods in Europe, it would be obvious choice (heck, it would be smart to have launched it in Europe FIRST!), but what's HP's lost is Apple's gain.

Lord knows they're everywhere here in the States. It's much easier to find the HP iPod around here than the Apple one these days.

I don't know why they mention the warranty. Apple's iPod's have always come with a one year warranty besides when they first came out.

After 6 months with the Apple warranty on the iPod you need to pay a diagnostic fee ($30 if you dont have APP) to have repairs done. With the HP iPod you get 1 year of warranty with no restrictions or fees to have the unit serviced. Atleast that is my understanding.

My next iPod is going to be an HP iPod...

Also as a side note, i can set up my own services for HP products because im an HP rep :D

In Australia all electrical goods must have at least 1 year warranty.
