    I tweak when I'm bored.

"ok.. let's have dock magnification at 30.4% .. well.. let's try 32%... no, too much... 31%?"

    Hehe.

I hate to admit it, but some of the wasteland is kind of interesting, haha.

I love all 33908143 of the "G5 POWERBOOK NEXT TUESDAY!!!1!!" threads, all dating back to like.. 20 months ago. :) Hahah

    YES...ME TOOO...I'm not alone.

It's funny, I bought a mac hoping for two things: (1) ease of use, and (2) increased productivity. Sometimes, however, I become so distracted by the beauty of the thing that I get all wrapped in the details and tweak the crap out of my setup--only to change it all 48 hours. If mac users are ever granted more control over color schemes and whatnot (I don't want to use Shapeshifter...I like to stay within the OS), I think I'll explode.

The Wasteland is pretty fun to read through, especially if you remember some of the more memorable ones when they were active. Hell, I remember around the time when it was created, all because of one user...

Classic thread. Ah, back in the day... I remember when Mr. Anderson and Co. used to post 100 posts a day in a similar manner as well...

It's the UT04 fix when I'm bored. A terrible waste of time, but damn that game is fun.

i either play with sys prefs, or i go hit the "random article" button on Wikipedia.

i have learned so much utterly useless knowledge that way, it's not even funny.

    well, i guess it is.

I learn a new program when I'm bored. Currently learning Digital Performer and how to do 5.1 mixes. Could come in handy for my next travelogue documentary in Asia this winter.

I'll keep System Preferences in mind if I get bored. It's never happened yet, but you never know.

I do change my desktop photo once in a while, but most of the other settings are the same from day 1. If I ever changed my highlight color I'd probably be so confused I'd have to throw out my computer.

Don't worry, I hear that Apple has some neat machines coming down the road if this scenario ever happens to you... They'll always be willing to sell you a nice new shiny Mac as a replacement... ;)

Sometimes I get bored, and start to screw with my preferences. Figured out that I could add a volume to the Spotlight blacklist. Useful stuff...

    As for the Wasteland...

Yeah. When I'm bored, I browse Wikipedia. Man I love that site.

Or, I organize folders, rename stuff, or tweak options.

Cleaning out system preferences is as exciting as watching paint dry. I think I'll pass.

lol, I know I do... sometimes I also end up going through MacUpdate(versiontracker sucks) finding cool little apps or changing my SS theme, only to revert to Aqua an hour later...
